Once Stubbs discovers Maggie is still alive he turns his hordes of zombies toward helping him get his sweetheart back. From there your job is to go around spreading the zombie virus across 50’s small town America. He soon finds out that he can turn other people into zombies by biting them. Stubbs rises from the grave with revenge and love in his decomposed heart. 26 years later a town is built over the burial site of Stubb’s remains. It doesn’t take long for his little bit of happiness to be taken away when Maggie’s father Otis murders Stubbs and dumps his body in the middle of nowhere. At the games start you play as Stubbs a sad salesman during the great depression whose only light and hope in life is his girlfriend, Maggie. Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse followed the depressing life of poor ole, Edward “Stubbs” Stubblefield. Despite this having a great soundtrack filled with bands like Death Cab For Cutie and The Flaming Lips performing 50s doo-wop songs, the game never took off outside of select cult circles. Our other big horror pick comes in the form of the very underrated Xbox title released back in 2005 by the name of Stubbs The Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse. That is probably out of the question now but at the very least we could try our best to get Xbox’s attention to make this a backwards compatible title… and to even polish it up a bit in the frame rate and UHD department. Lollipop Chainsaw ruled and fans had always held out hope that Gunn would one day return to Juliet and her chainsaws. Those included Tara Strong, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Shawnee Smith, Linda Cardellini and more. Gunn’s game starred some of his long time pals and collaborators. So a little ways before Gunn went and flew the Guardians into the Galaxy with Marvel. So, we are starting an all out scream to the sky and ultimately beg the Xbox overlords to add both James Gunn’s Lollipop Chainsaw and Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse to the list.įirst up, the awesome over the top, hack-n-slash blast that was James Gunn and Masahiro Yuki’s (Suda 51) Lollipop Chainsaw on Xbox 360 from 2012. With the latest venture into next-gen territory with the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has stuck with its backward compatible guns and kept that list growing.
